The motto of our school, Seek Wisdom, Love God, originates from the first reading for the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, Year A. Ecclesiasticus 4:11-18 God loves those who love wisdom. The lamp symbolises wisdom and the star is a symbol of God as the source of life and energy. The star is significant in that it symbolises life beyond our earthly human existence and is also symbolic in that the “Star of the Sea’ is a guide to mariners, when lost or in danger at sea. The final symbol of the light radiating from the lamp in the form of a heart is synonymous with the great love God has for His people.
